Memorial Events Elmont Memorial Golf Classic: The Elmont Memorial Golf Classic will be held in memory of three great teachers, Geraldine Snipas, Gregg Petrocelli, and Phil Peranzo. The event will take place on Monday, July 2, 2007 at the Middle Island Country Club. The event will include: 18 holes of golf with electric cart, use of driving range, golf goodie bags, door prize and raffles, lunch, refreshments, cocktail hour, buffet dinner, and a SPORTS MEMORABILIA AUCTION. Friends of Phil Foundation Fundraiser Benefit: The Friends of Phil Foundation was established to honor Phil’s passion for coaching and teaching. In remembrance of Phil Peranzo Jr., The Friends of Phil Foundation hosted a Fundraiser Benefit on March 31, 2007 at Local West Café in Manhattan. A scholarship was awarded to two deserving, female student athletes on June 07, 2007. The two recipients honored were Abbigail McCarthy, who will be attending Southeastern University, and Malika Victor, who will be attending Queens College (Phil's Alma Mater).
